How to model curved RC walls in ProtaStructure
Curved Reinforced Concrete (RC) wall is currently beyond the scope of ProtaStructure. However, as a work around you can approximately model it as a series of segmented straight RC walls.
-
Model the axes according to the angle of your curved wall
In this example, the shape of the curved wall is as shown below.
Now model the axes by following the shape.
- Insert the RC walls.
- Done !
Obviously, it is not a perfect curve but a simplification method to model the curved RC walls in Protastructure.
However, please note that this method comes with a limitation: The RC walls will be analyzed and designed as individual RC walls.
