How to use mesh reinforcement / BRC for shear wall design
To use mesh reinforcement / BRC for shear wall design, these are the steps :
In Building Analysis menu > Edit Materials > Concrete Wall > Longitudinal Web Bar > Pick a Fabric Rebar
Click Rebar Diameters and choose the diameter to be used in the design
Go to Column Design Settings > Review the Mesh Steel settings to your preference
In the Column Reforcement Design Batch mode > check “Try Using Mesh Reinforcement in All Walls”
Perform a “Re-select All Bars” design.
If mesh reinforcement solution can’t be found, the design will revert to loose bar.
